The M Series was Canon’s first mirrorless series, before the current EOS R line, and now with the release of the impressive EOS M6 Mark II, it could make the M series even for attractive and popular for creatives, especially as a travel option, due to it’s incredible minimal size and weight.
The M6 Mark II shares several similarities with the EOS 90D, like the 32.5 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) Sensor, and the AF system, which features Dual Pixel CMOS AF with 5,481 Manually Selectable AF Points. It also shoots video up to 4K UHD 30fps / FHD 120fps Video. However, there are several key differences and features that impress.
In addition to the Dual Pixel CMOS AF, the M6 Mark II comes with Eye Auto Focus, which again, helps with incredible portrait images or film work. The M6 Mark II is also incredibly fast as a mirrorless camera, with the ability to shoot at high-speed continuous shooting of up to 14 fps with AF/AE Tracking, but it doesn’t stop there. In RAW Burst Mode, the M6 Mark II can shoot at a blazing 30 fps, pre-shooting, which is impressive for a camera in this range.
The M6 Mark II was also designed and built with easy-to-use, intuitive features that make operating this camera easy and enjoyable. It includes a 3.0-inch Touch Panel LCD Screen with Tilt Option, new user controls developed from the EOS DSLR camera system, built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology, as well as Touch and Drag AF, with the optional Electronic ViewFinder, which is purchased separately.
Since the M6 Mark II does share similar performance features with the EOS 90D, it’s a camera built for photo and video enthusiasts, but in a mirrorless form factor. It’s feature-packed, minimal in size and weight, and fantastic to travel with.
